Yale GLC040AD:
need help with neglected Yale 4000lb

YALE# GLC040ADJUAE083
Runs great... but has been *severely* neglected.
I need help to find:
Most important: Where to find/buy the parts manual/Service manual?

also
Oil filter # and where to buy?
Transmission Fluid type?
Hydraulic Fluid Type?
Dumps red/ATF fluid all over if you fill it, most common failure point?
leaks hydraulic badly if you fill it, again.. most common failure point?

Sorry, I'm new, thanks so much
Ben

If your fluids are foamy, you are aerating. Hydraulic filter might be plugged. Check all the tank suction hoses for loose clamps. The Trans is another story. Drain the fluid and start with fresh wen you change the filter.

This truck was built before the Hyster/ Yale merger. Transmission should use Dexron fluid. Engine oil filter #150017600, I can not remember the trans filter number but you should not have any problem crossing it locally.

I can't see anything on the oil filter yet. possibly after I remove it it will become visible. I'd rather have the new filter before that tho?

Does anyone know which HYSTER this Yale cross-references to? (or if it does?)

Have the serial number of the truck?

Do you have a number off of the oil filter that is on it? NAPA has a good cross refrence site where you can cross the number to a NAPA filter number.......as for the manuals could check ebay for a good used one, only other possiblility would be thru a YALE dealer......for fluid types someone would need a serial number first.....
