Discussion:
Mystery Leak

Hi all I have a Yale GLP16AF E2425 MY1995, and have noticed we have a small leak, that deposits an oily patch overnight. My problem is trying to find where the leak is coming from the hydraulic oil which sits by the battery is full, engine oil is full, but the transmission fluid seems to only about half way full, and I think there may be a little water leak. if any one could point me in the right direction or has a service manual so I can at least work out what I'm looking at that would be great.

for problems like this I usually park the truck overnight on a big bit of cardboard. then its easier to work out which part of the truck it is coming from. the transmission fluid will be (should be ) red. it could be a perished transmission hose just weeping

Fact of the week
In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
