Discussion:
Motor assist disabled, steering slow for Raymond 8410, everything else works fine

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Raymond 8410 pallet truck.

Message: Motor assist disabled, steering slow

Symptom: steering becomes very heavy and reacts slowly.

All other functions (lifting, travel, etc.) are working fine.

No error code displayed (or not visible at the moment).

I suspect a problem with the PowerSteer / Steering Assist System (sensor or assist unit).

Has anyone experienced this issue before?

Where exactly are the motor assist unit and steering sensor located on this model?

Is there a simple reset procedure or quick test to confirm the fault before disassembly?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
