mast lowers by itself

hello im working on my easi r 30tt and the mast goes up no problem but as soon as you release the raise switch it starts coming down it drops approx 3 feet then stops and continiues to creep down untill it hits bottom any help would be appreciated also if the lift is raised and you turn it off then on the mast drops all the way and if you just tap the up and release it the mast drops its like a bad check valve but im not sure where it would be located

thank you for the help i checked out all the electronics and wiring and found no problems it turned out to be a shard of metal in the load holding valve seat was a pretty easy fix but the help is appreciated all the same

i would check the lowering circuit first
try disconnecting the wire from the lowering dump valve solenoid and see if it stops. If you get results there then back trace the circuit till you find the shorted component. it also could be a faulty valve not seating enough and allowing it to drift down.

Then if you do not find any electrical problem with the lowering circuit then i would move on to a mechanical issue with valves such as check valves.
