Discussion:
Mast lifts slowly. Need valve info

Hey guys. I've got a 2011 7FGU35 that the mast is extremely slow lifting. It will not lift unless you rev the engine pretty high. We know for certain that the problem is in the valve itself we just don't want to spend $3K+ for a new valve. Can anyone tell me anything about the valve section/spool itself? Who makes it, is there a locally available seal kit for that section? Our local Toyota dealer is not able to help us beyond OEM parts. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

The only way we'll ever stand is on our knees with lifted hands. Lord make me courageous!

How certain are you that it is the valve? Are the other functions slow? Steering ,Tilt or side shift? Did they do a pressure test in the lift circuit? Most the time when you rev the engine to make mast functions faster the hydraulic pump is worn. Last ten years i have never seen a valve cause a slow lift problem, unless it has finger tip control. How many hours does the unit have?

If it is in fact the valve you will have to provide a complete model and serial number of the truck as well as what mast you have and how many function valve.
There are overhaul kits available to rebuild.
