Discussion:
LP forklift runs good...but lacks power

Haven't found any manuals for the old Clark CFY40B yet. Not even sure if it has the Continental engine.

It starts, runs and idles great, no smoke..just seems to lack power going up inclines etc. Not very responsive and feels like it needs more fuel (as compared to a gasoline carbed engine).

Any web sites groups out there that discuss LP engines, troubleshooting and repair? This is more of a hobby unit that I am restoring and would like to learn more about the LP fuel process.

thanks

Make sure the timing is set to 7 degrees BTDC,and try adjusting the regulator screw out just a little bit at a time, until the powerband is achived.

Truck Tech

Sorry for the slow turn around, just haven't had much time to go on-line.

To answer your question...yes it does! What should I do?
