Cheer herald for the pot....wired off contactor coil with a relay ,,,cutomer is happy ,,,,,,,lovely part of ireland friends of mine fish down there a lot ,,,,cork is great for sea fishing ,,,great pubs also
Hi damo on the new 115 reach truck it is pre wired under the foot plate just plug in a rvs buzzer and job done.
On your truck the LINDE way is to put a wire from the module to a relay, then to buzzer, but you may need a laptop to switch on rvs buzzer through module, only down side to fitting across contactor is when braking in fwd the buzzer can sound but if customer is happy thats all that matters.
herald.
ps used to do lots of fishing in Ireland on the shannon at Rooskey+Carrick
BLACKIE THANKS FOR THE REPLY I ACTUALLY TRIED TO OBTAIN A MICRO FOR THE TOP OF THE CONTACTOR THIS MORNING COULD NOT GET ONE LOCALLY.... TIME WAS AGAINST ME... SHANE YOUR ON THE BUTTON THATS WHAT I DONE... FITTED A RELAY OFF THE REVERSE COIL ALWAYS THE HANDIEST ,,, I POSTED BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS PRE WIRED
REGARDS DAMO
blackie is right you can get an auxiliary micro switch to fit on top of the albright contactor but it is a pig to fit, that is if you don't brake the contactor top trying to get the hole through it for the plunger, if you fit a small 5 - 10 amp relay accros the reverse coil it will operate when the reverse contactor closes and because it takes about 1 amp to operate the the contactor coil and a 5 -10 amp relay draws only about 100 mA the controller will not even know it there and it will not damage the driver circuit.

Hi Damo
The best way is to put a micro switch at the top off the relay.
There are special microswitches for it
If you do it like above you can get a lott of trobles because you can get a electric peak from the extern contactor witch will blown out your reverse driver.
So be carefull
I think normaly you can make a adjustment in the controller.
Cheers
Hi Damo,
You could wire a 48volt relay across the reverse coil and use the contacts of the relay to operate the reverse bleeper. This works well on most trucks with direction contactors unless the truck has auto braking which makes the reverse bleeper operate momentarily in forward while the truck is braking.
Regards shane
YOU COULD COME OFF THE F/R SWITCH ASLONG AS U INCORPARATED A RELAY FOR SWITCHING ;;;;;I WAS WONDERING WERE THE MANUFACTURER CAME OFF THEY NORMALLY LEAVE A PLUG.....
CHEERS FO THE REPLY
the safest way is using a small micro switch with a long leg, place the switch on the fwd/rev contactor, bend and cut the leg to actuate when in reverse, glue the switch to the contactor, use 48volts to wire it up, taking a supply off the card or reverse switch will mean that the buzzer will vary in volume
