Lift won't start

I acquired a lift and the batteries had been hooked up backwards and now it won't start, but did run before. Im looking for help to narrow the problem down or where to begin looking.

Everywhere. Every electronic device could have been fried. I have had ignition modules, ECMs, PCMs, etc. You must go through and troubleshoot from the very beginning, fixing everything you find along the way, one at a time.
