Discussion:
Leaking tanks.

Thanks for all your help with the previous problems. Have a new one. Within the past 3 weeks or so, I've had 2 trucks come in with the hydraulic tanks leaking from behind the bottom mounting strap. We're a cold-storage operation in a VERY old building (cracks, potholes, etc.). My question is are we unique in this problem?

We put the sheet against the bulhead behind the tank, as well as grommets at the studs.

Did you put the sheeting behind the tank, like a gasket? Would rubber grommets on the mounting studs do the same thing?

All they say is when the new tank will be here. Just glad to get the $600+ for the new tank. Is the rubber sheeting a factory option or something you contract out yourself?

No, I have seen leaks before.. what does the dealer say?
We fixed it with new tanks, with rubber sheeting installed.
