In most cases, Your door rate means little to the customer. It's the all in, final price after taxes. Some lower rate dealers simply add more hours to the bill. It's your ability to repair, diagnose and be there when they call. They need your expertise, competence and trust. If your customers are happy with your service, Raise your rate as needed.
OEM dealers in this area are all about the same labor rate, independents about 70-80% of that, I think.
