Yes i appreciate that. Ive had them braking on several different units and if the finger brakes on the flex pipe ive seen them brake at the flange at the cat inlet. I just didnt know if this was common or if it was just me!

I've seen this numerous times. Does this happen repeatedly on same truck? I worked on a fleet of these for a trucking company where the constant banging in & out of trailers constantly broke the flex pipe. Company didn't want to explore options to support pipe- just kept replacing.

Just make sure muffler/cat assy is mounted tight, motor & body mounts are good.

I've worked on a few of these. I find the flex pipe usually goes bad- have had to replace the entire exhaust pipe from the manifold to the inlet pipe. What's your issue?
