Discussion:
Just got my first forklift(free from friend)and am trying to determine year/model

Its a Clark L/P with no I.D. plate(missing).I have pictures but not sure how to post them.If you are interested in helping me figure this out e-mail me and I'll send you picture. Its a nice little truck, chrome intakes under seat are making me think 70's.Looks like 3000Lb cap.
Thanks,
Sam K

Thanks very much,
I think thats the model for sure.It needs some work but my friend says it runs and lifts.Definately needs new L/P hose and the steering column seems to un-thread out of the steering box when the steering wheel is spun counterclockwise. This is apparently the reason why it was parked. Its out in Long Island City so Im going to try and find the nearest Clark parts dealer and get to work. Then I just have to get it to Providence R.I.
Thanks for your help Mr Fixit.

The serial # is stamped on the right hand side (most likely) of the truck. It is on the vertical part of the frame about 3" below the side door.
