Komatsu FG25T-16:
Is 900 lbs capacity right?

Hello I'm going to look at a used fg25t 16 tomorrow. They sent me a picture of the serial plate and I was wondering why it says 900 lbs in the capacity block. I cant see the right side of the plate in the picture so I don't have the full serial number or the last digit of the date. First three of the serial number is 213 and the first three of the date is 200 model is fg25t-16 type I think says clp truck weight says 9550 I'm just curious why it only says 900 lb for the capacity. They told me it has a 20 foot mast hight so I'm not sure if that matters.

Scott is correct, 20ft is a 240" Quad mast and that will derate your capacity quite a bit.

There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.

I read your post the fg25 means it will lift 5000 pounds but if you look on the plate it would tell you at the max height it will only lift 900 pounds sounds like this truck has a quad mast on it if it lifts 20 feet. This is what I am thinking. Hope this helps.
