Discussion:
Idle power off setting.

I have a handful of Crown reach trucks here (All ranging from model RR5725-45 to model RM6025-45) and am curious if there is a way in order to set them to shut off automatically after an idle time has been reached.
I have navigated into the service menu and am unable to find anything that might suit my requirement.

If it isn't possible in the settings, does anyone have a recommendation for a -relatively cheap- third party module I could install.

Thanks in advance!

No problem! Crown does also offer a keypad option as well for pallet trucks if you wish to add a login to those.
Infolink is an amazing product but it can be pricey as it costs about $1000 per module and then you have to pay a month fee per truck. Depending on your fleet size it might be a great fit! Helps log collisions, operator training, PM schedules, inspection checklists, automatic time outs, and so much more

That worked perfectly!

It appears as though a user code is required upon startup now, but that's not a deal-breaker. Now I just need to teach these operators how to count and remember a user code!

Thanks for your time and for guiding me towards the solution I needed.

And now I'm made aware of the Info-Link system too.

For the RR5700 and RMD6000 go into the service menu, Features, F11.1 = Enable. Then go to F11.3 and set the timeout. You shouldn't have to set any user codes in F11.2 to my knowledge, but if you wanted to you could so that users have to enter a code to start up the lift. You can have 25 user codes that are 4 digits long.
It's basically a simple version of Infolink built into the lift.

I believe that info link shuts it down after ten minutes of inactivity. No sure of the cost per truck, but monitors a lot of activity including accidents.

In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
