Hyster S120XL slow travel

Recently removed and reinstalled motor for unrelated transmissions problems. Put fresh transmission fluid in and now when going into forward or reverse, you have to rev the motor very high to get unit to move. Once you travel for 50 yds or so, will drive fine. Any ideas out there???

Thanks in advance!!!

To answer your question on why it work work normally after a few minutes- I believe that if the inching valve is just slightly mis-adjusted, that after a few minutes the pressure build- up overcomes the slight pressure release. I have had the same symptom on a H80XL- happened out of the blue. Adjusted the inching linkage & symptom went away

Customers love technology- until they have to pay to fix it!
yup, sounds like the inching circuit is still enguaged while the brake pedal is released. I'd check the adjustment for sure.
Keep in mind it is not designed to run for long periods like this so if it is ran too long with the clutches slipping it can wear out the clutch packs quickly. So i wouldnt lollygag around too long before i went back to check it. ;o)

Good luck

Thanks for the advice. Haven't been back to customer to troubleshoot, but if it were out of adjustment, why will it travel normally after reving up for a couple of minutes. Just a question, they are very ****, as most customers are. LOL
