Crown SC4510-50:
Hydraulics not functioning clicking when using lift functions but no fork movement

Hello,

Does anyone have an idea where to start for this issue? This forklift has had some wire corrosion issues already, so i'm thinking it could be a wire or connector/contact. Pump runs and I can hear a solenoid clicking when moving the controls, but nothing happens beyond that.

Thanks,

John

I removed the plastic around the lift controls to check for obvious breaks in the wiring. Moving the harness around to check for shorts led to solenoid click on each control getting weaker to now no solenoid click at all. I think im headed in the right direction.

I think the hydraulic pump is not actually not getting power. The motor I hear at startup must be a cooling fan or drive motor.

This forklift got stuck in the rain earlier this year and the hydraulic pump was running at all times when turned on. Once it dried out it worked fine, but i'm guessing corrosion happened so i'll check the that motor first.
