Discussion:
Help w/Clark Serial Number/Model Identification

Thanks for a great site. I discovered it a few weeks ago while researching a collection of old lift manuals. I learned about the Atlas Serial Number Guide through here and it's helped me out immensely.
However, the guide I have stops around 1981 and I have a manual that was produced later than that. It has no model number written on it, only a serial number. I was hoping someone on here would be willing to use a more current copy and tell me the model number and year of a lift w/the serial number ending in #6315. Also, the part number of the manual is I-252-2, if that helps.
Thank you.

The model # is GPS..... I can't tell by the serial # what the capacity is. It can be a 4000#,5000# or 6000# capacity. A 4 or 5000# truck would have a 16" carriage and a 6000# truck would have a 20" carriage and bigger drive tires. The year is 1986 and should have a Waukesha engine.
If you call a Clark dealer with the complete serial # they would be able to tell you what the full model # is.
