Discussion:
Heli forklift - Briggs Equip - Sammons Industries

Ok here's the rumor/story...
Sammons Industries, parent company of Texas Yale forklift dealer Briggs industry will be the USA master-distributor for Heli forklifts.

Sammons industries hired one person away from Yale/Nacco to run the venture; Sammons also file pre-emptive lawsuite against Nacco as they are expecting a lawsuit over the matter.

I believe Briggs Equipment will be or is the distributor for Heli in those territories where they do not represent Yale/NACCO products. Should be an interesting story to unfold for sure. Certainly the lawyers will luv hearing the cash register ring up

I've known Bruce Pelyino ( aka Al Chalmers) since the mid 70's - he will enjoy this "opportunity" I'm sure.

"Have An Exceptional Day!"
Heard that Hyster/yale are contemplating importing their Chinese-built lift truck to North America to compete with Heli if Heli becomes a threat.

I think they've been in China for quite some time...

By the way, does anyone else think the Hyster banner ad on Forklift action (the one where the guy is blindfolded.."in the dark about the true costs") looks like a clip from an Al Qaeda hostage video?

I'm curious, who did Sammons hire from NACCO?

Well what would you expect from Yale they did the same to the Lilly Co. in Memphis. They were a Yale dealer for many years then bought the local Toyota dealer. To be honest with you where will Yale go if they no longer deal with Briggs Equipment. They are very large and not very easy to replace. We will have to wait and see.

Fact of the week
In May 2023, a Belgian Malinois named Wilson played a key role in the rescue of four children lost in the Amazon jungle. The young children were missing for 40 days after a plane crash that killed their mother and other adults. Wilson tracked the children's footprints, leading the military to their location.
