Discussion:
Good and Bad of AC and DC drive motor?

My company is deciding to purchase a stacker.... a big brand from Europe present one with DC drive motor while another big brand from Asia present another one with AC drive+pump motor.

Which is better DC or AC motor?

Any wise men please support me? :)

Ac is just about maintenance free and concidered better. But you say a company from asia. You need to know the quality of the AC motor and controller used. On a stacker truck, you probably wouldn't benefit much from an AC motor. Hope this is of help. Am sure someone will give you better examples of pro's and con's of both motors.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
