Discussion:
Forward & Reverse

I have a Yale that will go forward for about 10 feet, then stops (by itself) and kicks into reverse. Any ideas what this could be?

Philly, I doubt your truck is the same model and serial number series as the OP.
Who did the "calibrations" for you?
Was it an experienced Hyster tech, or some other forklift mechanic?
Please start a new thread, and include your truck's model and serial number, rather than "hijack" an older thread. While the symptoms may be similar, the actual operations of the controls can be very different.

"it's not rocket surgery"
Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue, I have been told it is a software issue as well as calibration and optical switches. We have calibrated through dash and symptom clears up for a fewhours then it's back.

The serial # E187V09900W and the engine is a Mazda 2.0, and it is not a monotrol pedal or handle. It is a top shift on the column.
