Discussion:
Forklift & MH Equipment PL & PI Insurance (UK)

Hi All,

I'm currently in the process of setting up for Cat 2 ITSSAR (so I can work for more than one training organisation and myself) and am trying to find adequate and relevant Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Im a self employed contract trainer, training the usual FLTs and bolting on additionals such as Hiab, Excavator, etc as I'm moving forward.

I wondered if anyone could steer me in the direction of a relevant insurance company that understands the industry. I don't want to get caught out adding an extra course and not be covered.

Interestingly, not one of the companies I've approached so far has asked for any evidence of accreditation or competence, they seem to offer a "catch all" and this makes me nervous.

TIA.
Cheers
Jim

I haven't used them myself but I get regular e-shots from Whitman Gowdridge who claim to be specialist insurance brokers for the fork truck industry. Might be worth a try. 0116 278 5881
