Discussion:
Event Code 176

Hi, I have a Crown SC5200 unit that originally had error code 305, we changed Access 3 and now shows code 176. The manual does not have any code or any bulletin. Any help will be greatly appreciated it.
Thank you. Carolina

Dreamt I was fixing a machine, then came the paperwork and it turned into a nightmare.
First I would go into the service menu on the original access 1 module and go into features 20.1 and turn off the battery restraint feature. It could be this lift does not have a battery retainer switch and updating the software caused it to be reenabled.

Hi, correct. We replaced the access 3 due to code 305 and new software was installed to the whole truck. After doing this code 176 shows up as well as the wrench. We tried switching module 1 from the SC to a FC but the screen is black. Maybe module 1 is bad? Thanks.

When you installed the new access 3 did you flash software to the whole truck? New modules do not come with software pre-loaded. All the modules also need to have the same software version so even if the new module came with software it might be the wrong one. Typically if a crown throws a code that does not exist it means one of the modules isnt configured correctly. Seems like you replaced the access 3 due to code 305?

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
