Discussion:
Error code 223 on right door

Hi all!

I have a crown wave60 that when I open the right gate travel door the wave beep telling me code 223. I have to close back the door and all is good. If I open only the left door it doesn't beep or tell me code 223 its just for the right door. Its not a big deal because we are now used to the wave beeping each time we open the door but if we can fix this that would make us be able to drive the wave with the doors open to go faster. Anyone knows what it could be and how to fix this?

Thanks in advance! :)

Gate switches are on the side of the floor. There should be some plastic pieces on the rear side of the wave. Follow the gate arm to the bottom. Remove them to expose the cam and switches.

Ok thx. I was out for holidays... I'm now here going to check

Edit : after having removing the floor mat and sliding the metal floor base trap I don't seems to find the gate switch. I can't remove all the metal floor trap because the pedal are linked to it and don't wanna risk doing anymore lol :(

Sounds like the cam/switches are getting worst. Have you gotten to that yet. That's the first step

Since yesterday there is a new weird behaviour with the wave60 maybe it can help for diagnosis? From now until yesterday the error code 223 was only popping when I opened the right side door. But now from time to time the wave won't start and the error code 223 is happening right when I turn it on and with the 2 doors closed. I have to open/close the door a few times or even restart the wave 2-3 times for it to be ok.

Also, sometimes when we drive it, it just stop moving right here and code 223 start beeping. I have to again open-close the door 2-3 times
And ita back again working....

Maybe this can help with the issue...

Check to see if the cam is damaged. If so, that will need to be replaced. Hopefully, the gate switches are just out of adjustment. Depending on your confort level, you can either replace it or call a tech. If you need to replace any parts, you'll need to call a forklift supplier to get them

And then when i'll be here whats the thing I should do? Is this something I can fix or I have to call a crown technician to come and repair?

Yes, you need to remove the floorboard and lower covers to get to switches and actuator cam assy. Need allen wrench. A bit of a pain, but with patience, you'll get there

Do you know exactly where to check for the gate switch? Do I have to remove any thing for this?
