Discussion:
Error code 10

I have a cat EP16kt. This thing is making me lose my mind. It has an error 10 code and locks out the whole lift. If I try to cheat the system and cheat the self check by messing with the shift lever and gas pedal as soon as I turn it on, can drive it, lift, do anything. As soon as I fully let off the gas, the error code pops up and the whole lift sits dead in its tracks. I have swapped the motors to see if the code changes, the previous owner said he had the board changed, I have cleaned connections, changed accelerator sensor, and done all else I can think of. No matter what I have a code ten. This drives me nuts because it works so well normally. Please help!!!!!! Can I bypass this or something. I don't care, I just want it to work lol

code 10
Right Motor, Faulty Armature Circuit
Possible causes:
-faulty right motor armature
-faulty line contactor*
-faulty regeneration contactor
-faulty D1R diode
-faulty D2 diode
-faulty right motor armature wiring
-faulty head capacitor
-faulty T1R IGBT
-faulty CS1 current sensor
-faulty wiring in other parts
-faulty logic card
-faulty drive board*
-faulty H bridge board*

The * indicates the most likely suspects but you have quite a few things to check but check those first.
visually inspect the H bridge board and drive board underneath the logic card, look for any burnt diodes.

If this forklift uses an Accelerator Switch along with an Encoder or Potentiometer, there is a chance that the switch is out of sync.

The switch might be opening too early or too late.
It also might be closing too early or closing too late.

I'm not familiar with that model of forklift.

You might have a weak battery due to not be charged often enough or having its charge cycle interrupted.
The battery might need water.

You might need to recalibrate the Accelerator Potentiometer and Lift/Lower Potentiometer.

You'll need to be sure that Neutral is properly calibrated, for any of the Potentiometers on this forklift.

Most of the time, a numerically low Error Code typically means that a small problem is the root cause of the problem.

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
