Toyota 7FGU30:
engine dies after governed speed

The 7FGU32 LPG only engine runs fine up against the governor and the floor plate stop bolt. However when you release the accelerator pedal and re-apply it the engine dies. It starts right back up and it will consistently die again. If you only press the pedal down far enough to reach the governed speed and not the stop bolt then back off, the engine will not die, (about 1 1/2" from bolt). The stop bolt is out as far as it can go. When the engine dies there is a code 8 flashing on the dash.

We are having the same problem with a unit now. Can you tell us what you found that fixed the problem on yours. Thanks.

Work Hard and Fish Long
this has a throttle body LPG with "no" throttle cable. We now have the book and we think it has a code 8.

check the little pot on the side of the machine
its under a cover on a bracket that the bracket holding the throttle cable is attached to

i have the basic desc of the code: over-speed - The speed exceeds the set NMR value.

that pot sets the NMR value

check the stepper motor too

i dont have the detailed trouble shooting info for that code though
sorry
