Diagnosing a GD code the EASY way

Connect your meter to the A1 and A2 terminals of the steer motor. A normal working steer amplifier will have an output of 12v to 24v depending on how fast you turn the steer tiller. A failing steer amplifier will have about 2v to 6v output. This way you can diagnose a steer amplifier or steer motor encoder bearing in two minutes. Book does not tell you this.

Good luck

Fact of the week
In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
