Discussion:
Dead ignition switch

My H50XM forklift was operating just fine and I shut it off. When I went to start it an hour later the switch was completely dead as were all the gauges and lights. The battery is good and the terminals appear to be tight and solid. My question is, where do I start looking? Is there a fuse box or panel some where?

I cleaned the sludge and grease from the engine bay and off the transmission with a rag as to not spray water into the electrical system. I found that this actually brought out all the problems with the wire harness because it now had clean metal on which to ground out (the trans). THE IGNITION WENT DEAD TWICE. it had blown the main 30A fuse. since then I have rewired most of the H50xm Wire harness.

The fuse box is on the left side of the truck under the dash. The main power fuse is 30 amps. Do you have work lights on the truck and is so were they on when you were using the truck??.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
