Hi,
If you still need support, you can complete a quick technical support form at the bottom of the main combilift.com web site or direct link https://warranty.combilift.net/technical-support-form/. The form only asks for the minimal info so the team can quickly help you. There is no login required and no charge for this support.
Combilift has Technical support technicians across the world including in NC at the North America Headquarters, that can help.
You can also request access to our knowledgebase where you will find more information available. Hope you get sorted.
Swoop is correct as always, haha. MIL/check engine light. The causes can be o2 sensors pre or post, depending on teir 2 3 or 4, it can be the electronic throttle body, the air sensor right below the throttle body on the intake mainfold, if it has the egr it could be that. or of course the ecm itself. This is on several combis with the gm 3.0 engine. They did away with this in the newer models with the lcd display, and they are kobota lpg engines now instead.
yep it would go away if the problem is repaired
as for the software you can get it from impco, it is the spectrum psi software and i do not believe it requires any special adapter decoder box unless its a later tier 3 or 4 model, those might need the decoder but its been a while since i worked on one so maybe someone else could answer that. You can use a standard db9 serial cable or possibly a db9 null modem cable.
I couldn't remember about that light at first and was looking in the manuals for it but now that i think about it i ran into the same problem and discovered that myself on a cube model. The GT models are setup a little different so i couldn't answer that for sure at that time.
In most cases the code will go away after a certain number of restarts.
Thanks CamTron.
that's what other customer locations are saying too. engine light.
Do you have to go in and reset or delete code after the problem is fixed? or will light go out after so many hrs after fixing problem?
the truck was so low on oil it was not even registering on dip stick.
I did and oil and filter change and checked coolant.
guess I need to find someone with the software.
it's an engine management light. Need to have PSI diagnostic software to check it. I maintain 13 of these.

i saw the images you sent me
that one light indicator right in front of the directional switch as you said does not show in the manual, from the looks of it it may be some addon indicator put on the machine after production, it may even me some aftermarket system, i've never seen anything like that on any combi GT units i've worked on.
mohamed_m suggested an engine management light, i doubt that is what it is as it is not marked with any pictogram like the ones in the instrument cluster are marked and i wouldn't think combi would throw on an additional indicator light without any markings or explanation in the manual about it. But don't hold me to that as i've been wrong before ;o)
you could remove the cover and trace out the wiring and see where it leads to, that might give you an idea of what it's function might be.
one other option is to send in a request to combilift and ask them
info @ combilift.com (remove the spaces i added to the email address to make it work)
maybe they could give you some insight as well.
i had a thought to verify my doubts about it being an MIL light, you could disconnect an O2 sensor or some other sensor and run the machine and make it trigger the error and see if the light on the dash lights up.
just a thought ;o)
Engine Management Light (Yellow Light On Dash)
If this light comes on it means the engine control unit (ECU) has detected a problem with the engine.
If the light is on and the engine is running smoothly you can drive the truck. However, it should be checked at the earliest convenience.
If the engine is running poorly the truck should not be driven.
The ECU will store the fault information that will allow the fault to be diagnosed when the ECU is connected to a PC.
I sent pictures to your email swoop.
I cant seen to up load images to the forum
yes
light is amber / yellowish
can you take a snapshot of the dash so we can see the instrument layout?
The manuals do not show any light anywhere around the directional switch as you said.
It's possible it may be some addon feature not published in the normal parts/service layout in the manuals.
Is the amber light by itself? or is it part of the instrument cluster?
is this light is yellow ?
