Anyone see any out of the ordinary problems causing an intermittent code 853. The pot is only 3 months old and the i/o's look good on the hand set. Battery voltage is strong.

Thanks for a legit response. I actually found the issue and it was harness related at the top by the board. a couple pins were pulling out of the connector just enough to create an intermittent issue.

Crown tech 15yrs. Harness issues are common. Check down by the knuckle for wires rubbed through, spray ProGold on all connnectors on the boards, calibrate. If that doesn't fix it pots now come in a kit replacing the stops for the twist grip because if the stops are worn out the pot goes beyond normal operating range causing it to get damaged. You may have to replace the pot again.
