The seat has a 6 pin connector harness which runs thru the engine cover the harness from the truck side has a 6 pin and a two pin connector.
I'm a bit confused. Does the new seat have a switch in the bottom of it with wires coming out of the switch and a 2 pin square shaped connector on the end of the wires? That should connect to the 2 pin connector from the forklift that comes through the hole in the engine cover, right under the seat. Where is the 6 pin connector, inside the engine compartment?
They purchased the truck from an auction with no seat on it now I'm stuck trying to figure out what is wrong with it the plug, 6 pin is the same but there is a two pin that is on the truck that is tied off to the harness that goes to the seat switch bu no where to plug it in the seat.
Did the truck stop working after you changed the seat? Is the wire harness plug on the new seat the same as the old one?
It was a replacement seat from Yale how would you know the difference I know the difference?
Did you use the special $100 Yale proximity seat switch that is used on these trucks? It is not a simple standard on/off seat switch like most other trucks have, even though they look the same.
