Code T231

S/N HRX391LL01699
VW motor with L/P fuel
The truck comes to a stop and there is an audible tone. Code T231 comes up on the display. Now I've figured out the code is caused by the pedals sensor having an issue. What I need to know is the location of the sensor. Is it in the pedal box and do I need to replace the whole pedal box? Or where would I find this sensor?

Ok, I will see if I can figure it out... I'm just a self taught mechanic and learning as I go. I do tend to catch on to things quickly though so I'll see if I can figure out where these things you mentioned are.

Check the pedal position potentiometer, calibrate to center ,if it was replaced it has to be calibrated , if not probly needs to be replaced an calibrate. Also check wiring running under pedal assy ,I've seen the harness run thru an create shorts , also check the pedal pot gear is not worn out an going out of range.

231 Combination of pedal position sensor signal and reference sensor signal is not plausible.

Fact of the week
In 1923, French tennis player René Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase by his captain if he won his next match. He lost the match but won the nickname "the crocodile" which he had sown onto his tennis attire. Ten years later he launched the first polo shirt and Lacoste, the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing.
