Discussion:
Code L222

I have a lift that has a code L222 that comes up on the dash along with a lightening bolt and flashing wrench light. When you cycle the key off and back on it goes off, but will come back. The customer says you can hit the dash and it will go off, although we can't duplicate this. Does anyone know what this is?

Hi, I am having trouble withe theses machine H50D. I have replaced joystick and code still persists. I have linde pathfinder but I'm not luck in calibrating this joystick. I only have tilt forward and back when AUX plugs disconnected. Am I connecting the laptop cables up correctly? Codes L232, L233, L238 and L222 as soon as key switch on. Thanks

I would hook up the truck to Pathfinder and do the Joystick calibration and clear the fault codes.
You can also check the joysticks for being in a neutral position by going into joystick parameters in Pathfinder.
So many people replace joysticks when there is no need to.

Tip for the future with Linde trucks is, post up the start of the serial number to pin point the series & year.

From the info already provided its either going to be a H2X 392 or a 393, the letter after the 3 digit series number gives the year of manufacture, year is also on the data plate.

L = a lift fault ( smart these German's )

L222 = Joystick for more than 2 sec not in neutral position after Power On.

If it has a key switch fitted, check the contacts & switch, sounds like its very briefly powering down & back up again which in turn throws the error code.

Check the hydraulic joystick's & the wiring to them would be a good place to start.

If you have the 4 way joysticks fitted also check the rubber cover with the symbols on hasn't come loose from the console as this can stop the joystick returning to neutral position.

Fact of the week
The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
