Discussion:
Code C81

Hi
Iv got a unit coming up with caution code 81, I have a manual but that code does not seem to be in there. I found on here that it could be a steering issue. Anyone have any more info on this?

C81

Steer unit sum of analog inputs out of range

Usually related to the carbon potientiometer problems. R2 resistance should be 620 ohms. Also check for a open or shorted R2. Also recommended to replace the carbon pot with the newer solid state one and remove R2 resistor and splice 13.
