Too many codes, to many trucks, to many years....
know the feeling... I have learned not to guess, or think I know, I'm usually wrong

According to the manual, this code means the maintanence alert is activated which will cause the truck to fail to reach full speed or can disable the truck. If you have a hand set, changing the value of function 19 and 20 to a value above 250 will disable the function. If you do not have the hand set, you cannot make the adjustment. You don't need a dealer tech just the hand set and you should be good to go.

does this truck have the premium dash display? with 5 buttons ?
with key off press and hold the 5 key and it should start flashing through the codes stored in the controller. There will be 2 stages, drive control codes then hydraulic control codes.
The yales did this and i cant see why hysters wouldnt do it the same way.

as for the 99 code?
last time i had one that had this code i wound up replacing the controller, never did find out exactly what that code meant either, even after called the mfg. If you know someone at GE they might be able to tell you
