Discussion:
Code 34

Info on this would be great, machine will not drive and code 34 with indicator flashing "master controller program". Unit worked good up til this point, hydraulics work ok. Can anybody point me in the right direction or have additional info on this code.
Thanks

You should start a new thread rather than bumping a post as old as this one. SC4000 has master/slave GE Gen II SX units, use the GE LX EV100 handset with the Gen II SX cable, all available from Flight Systems. Handset part number 41-LXHS-00, cable is 41-1002-01

This code indicates master controller (MRC1) has been programmed as slave controller (MRC2).
A 30 series event code indicates miscommunication between master controller and slave controller. Proper connection
between CA402 on master controller and CA404 on slave controller must be established to allow data transfer. The two
wires connected between CA402-11 and CA402-12 on master controller and CA404-11 and CA404-12 on master
controller should be a twisted pair. Always verify these connections are secure, free from corrosion and twisted before
beginning the troubleshooting steps.
Step 1: With handset plugged directly into CA402 on master controller, verify function code 17 is set to 53.
If: function code 17 set to 53.
Then proceed to step 2.
If: function code 17 not set to 53.
Then set function code 17 to 53.
Step 2: With handset plugged directly into CA404 on slave controller, verify function code 17 is set to 116.
If: function code 17 set to 116.
Then proceed to step 3.
If: function code 17 not set to 116.
Then set function code 17 to 116.
Step 3: Check for 36 volts at CA403-21 on slave controller.
If: 36 volts.
Then proceed to step 4.
If: less than 18 volts.
Then locate and repair loose connection or wiring between CA403-21 and battery positive.
Step 4: Check voltage at CA401-21 on master controller.
If: 36 volts.
Then locate and repair short circuit between CA401-21 and battery positive.
Then replace slave controller if 36-volt output is on CA403-10.
If: 12 volts or less.
Then replace master controller. See note.
Note: If 12 volts or less is present at CA401-21 on master controller, function code 17 on master controller is
set to 53, function code 17 on slave controller is set to 116, and event code -34 still exists, then and only
then, replace master controller. If function code 17 on master controller is set to 53, function code 17 on
slave controller is set to 116 and voltage output at CA403-10 on slave controller is 36 volts, then and only
then replace slave controller. Adjust all function codes as necessary.
