Discussion:
CFY30B Looking for a service manual and other things

Just recently started working on a forklift, i don't seem to have a parking brake where the normal handle is. I've looked on the bellhousing on the starter side and haven't found anywhere that a cable or lever could pass through to actuate the shoe on the inside.
My machine has a two-piece bellhousing, but the service manual i find online (granted, for a c30b) shows a one-piece design in the diagram for the parking brake. There are other maintenace items I'd like to cross of the list too, so idealy a service manual is what i'm looking for.
IF i can't find where the original brake goes, has anyone ever dealt with putting a "line-lock" solenoid on the brakes to act as a parking brake? I know i would have to find either a normally closed solenoid or use a normally open, put chocks under the wheels, then de-energize the solenoid.
Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
