Cat/Mitsi - DP30k - DP40K - Soft or low brake pedal

Hello, We have had some calls in the past month on low or soft brake pedals on different units. Has anyone had this problem??? Master cylinders, Barnishing the shoes to the drums???? Thx

If you have the S6S engine they have a brake vaccuum pump mounted on the back of the alternator that is belt driven. If your belt is loose you lose effective vacuum to operate the brakes properly that may cause the symptoms you are describing.
