The service manual shows how to replace the direction switch.

Very easy job to do, the CID plastic housing parts are a bit tight to clip back together on reassembly.

Watch the wiring loom as you lift of the top housing part of the CID as its clipped inside to the housing, gently lift the housing up, unclip the loom then you can get inside the CID to replace the switch.

The little torx screws that secure the switch are easier with a magnetic bit / torx screwdriver.

Direction switch assembly is easy to replace, also includes the horn button in a sealed unit.

Have you had a CID unit apart before?

Park brake off when this occurs.
Troubleshooting in manual (8.2.3) State 13 Travel Info on CID shows target and actual speed. At rest select cab 1st park brake off both values are zero. select forks 1st and target value immediately jumps to.25 and the machine speeds up to.25 without touching anything ?

Is the parking brake ON when it happens?

Holding the direction switch can activate the creep travel function but it cannot release the parking brake.

I have replaced a couple of direction switches on RRE's due to this fault.
