BOUNCING CARRIAGE

HI,have anybody messed around, or ran with this problem on side loaders, the new ones 07'', its almost the same as the old ones,not to many changes,only changes is that is hasonly one cylinder,i bled the cylinder,even with six inch of the ground, when the operator pulls the lift handle and lets it go,the fork intead of stopping dead flat,they have a slight jumping on them, also when operator uses the down handle,...please any hints,,thanx

We may be talking about the same thing but in a different configuration. I had one with similar problems and it ended up being the flow control for the main lift out on the mast. It's where the main lift hose on the swing out arm attaches. Good luck !

I've seen this problem before. The problem I found was that the lower valve had some trash in it. The lower valve is behind the hydraulic bank on the left of the mast (looking at it fork on) (If you knew sorry). When I cleaned out the valve I found a little sliver of metal. I've also seen the return spring on the lower handle be too weak, and allow the handle to bounce. I know that typically the cylinder is a logical target, but have found the problem to be in the controls most of the time. Good Luck
