Discussion:
Bendi or Aislemaste - which is best?

I'm on the cusp of purchasing a VNA forklift, either Bendi or Aislemaster, what do I choose? Be glad if anyone could share their experience of using the machines and why they purchased the VNA they have got over the other.
Both companies score points over the other so looking to hear what the users think!

I'm in this same position also. I'm looking to buy an older used truck, possibly something from 2005 - 2015 depending on the price

Flexi trucks seem to be more readily available, then Bendi and a few AM's but these are usually a bit more costly

Wondering how you're getting on

Hi Fletcher, I am in the exact same position, did you make your decision between Aisle Master and Bendi and which did you choose?

Thanks Tat2dPete - sorry yes it is the articulated lift truck I'm looking at... shows how much I know!! :)

I agree with what you say, its just hard taking the plunge when you can't get them into your facility to trial for a period.

Thanks for your help.

It is very much a case of horses for courses. Although I presume that you are actually talking of purchasing an Articulated (Pivot Steer) Lift Truck and not a VNA as they are different classes of truck.

I have used Flexi, Bendi and Combilift trucks and each has its own unique charcteristics and it does tend to become a case of getting used to the manufacturers own style given that each truck does tend to do the same "job". Personally I wouldn't rate one above the other as each had advantages or disadvantages.

From a commercial point I guess a lot depends on your budget, what the supplier offers you in terms of service/maintenance, supply and options. Having been responsible before for sourcing a new fleet of lift trucks I spent many hours pouring over details, specs etc and visiting dealerships. What it came down to in the end was really personal preference I guess and the truck I felt most comfortable using and then training my staff on.

Hi Fletcher D, I couldn't possibly comment on those two makes but would like to propose the Flexi Articulated Truck. I am biased - I sell them - but we are the market leader and offer the widest range with the smallest aisle widths and highest lift heights all equipped with Flexi ultra reliable ACiON technology.
We are UK based with our factory in the West Midlands, and you can reach us on 0121 557 6242.
