Discussion:
BDI readings

I have a fleet of RR 5700's.One of them has a very erratic bdi reading. Different batteries are used in it constantly. BDI reading will drop at times 30 to 40 percent in 10 minutes. Sometimes it might stay on the same percentage reading for some time, then drop dramatically, even slightly go up. Access 1 has been replaced, noticed slight improvement, but still all over the shop.

Check in the Analyzer menu, there is a reading of what the BDI voltage is at A2.4.26. If it is varying a lot and not steady then take off the access plate next to the footpedals and check the fuses for corrosion, FU6 is the culprit and is shown as LIGHTS/FAN but also supplies BDI voltage to Access 4. You can check the voltage at Access 4 CA412-3 also. Had this exact issue a few months ago with the symptoms you describe, took a while to locate it.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
