Discussion:
42-5FG25 Toyota Forklift tires cushion to pneumatic?

Can anyone tell me if you can put pneumatic tires on the rear of this machine? It presently has cushion, I think, could be solid I guess but they do have tread. Please let me know what is involved if it is possible

Thanks

Ah, gotcha.
Not a lot you can do for a cushion truck in that situation.

Just thought it would be better on unpaved areas.

Hi Pelletman.
Yes that model of Toyota is equipped with Cushion tires.
It is not possible to convert to a Pneumatic, as the cushions use a press-on hub, where as the pneumatic will need a multi piece or 2 piece wheel.
Additionally there is a significant difference in wheel diameter and overall tire diameter, which will not allow for a conversion.
Also consider, any such changes need the approval of the lift manufacturer, as the data plate would need changing.

Can I ask why you would want to go to a pneumatic? There might be another way to address the issues your having.
