2000 Yale NR series reach truck - Sometimes get error at reverse

Low hour truck, but put joystick in reverse and sometimes it won't move for a few seconds, red warning triangle comes on and says "See error code". But then it always goes away and reverse does work after another second or two...but it is annoying that it hesitates so often.

When the display says "see error code"...where the heck is the code ? I don't see it on the display and I sure hope it doesn't mean the code on the MIB unit as that would involve removing the entire dash panel just to see the MIB... and by the time the panel was removed the code would be gone anyway I presume.

OK, I'll answer my own question. Looked in the shop manual and sure enough the error codes only show on the MIB module...which means removing the entire plastic dash cover just to see the code. I guess I could cut a rectangular window in the plastic so I could see the MIB without removing the dash if it keeps happening, but I guess the theory is you might as well have the dash off if looking at error codes as you will probably need to remove it anyway to fix whatever is the actual problem the code is pointing to.
