ITL 2002

Netherlands, Rotterdam - 11th and 12th dec 2002
Who will be there?
With over 200 exhibiting companies, 4000 visitors to the exhibition and 200 delegates, ITL2002 is the definitive meeting place for senior decision makers from the following sectors: Shippers manufacturers, shipping lines, 3PLs, freight forwarders, road hauliers, ports and stevedores, railways, lessors and operators.

The organisers state that the conference previously known as Intermodal, was re-branded Intermodal Transport & Logistics in November 2001. While ITL has retained many of the elements that made the Intermodal conference and exhibition as popular and successful as it was, the new title more accurately reflects what the show is about. Traditionally Intermodal exhibitors have tended to come primarily from the equipment and hardware sectors but a large element of the exhibition and conference programme is related to intermodal service providers, logistics / supply chain issues and the role of governments in facilitating the expansion of intermodalism for environmentalism and other reasons - the new title reflects this.

ITL 2002 will run alongside the international conference and exhibition Interfreight. The two events are highly complimentary.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
