Xplore Technologies Corporation of America has added model iX104C4 to its family of rugged mobile computing systems.
"We have customers using our products on a number of hi-los, forklifts and ox carts from different manufacturers including but not limited to Linde, Caterpillar, Crown, Raymond, Barrett and Hyster," says Patrick Gray, Xplore marketing director. "The development of the iX104C4 started in 2007, and the product was launched in the summer of 2008."
Built to withstand drops to concrete of 4 feet (1.2m), the unit can operate in demanding environments including exposure to vibration, moisture and extreme temperatures.
Starting price for the model is USD3,899.
Xplore sells its computers to customers in the public safety, warehousing, utility, military, field service, marine and transportation industries. Austin-based Xplore was formed in 1996.
