Fork life tripledISO 5057 stipulates that forks need to be replaced at 10% wear. That's because a 10% reduction in thickness will result in a 20% loss in fork capacity. This means that the wear zone of forks without a reinforced heel can be only a few millimeters (depending on the cross-section).

A further advantage of the VETTER OptimaForkHeel is strengthening the heel. This enhancement reduces deflection by up to 15% compared to forks without heel reinforcement (at rated capacity). |
