The Comet lift in action |
United Forklift and Access Solutions has introduced the new Comet X-Trailer, a trailer-mounted boom lift designed for trade work requiring access to high or tricky areas.
The new Comet X-Trailer has a working height of 12 m and stows to a length of 3.10 m, allowing it to take up only a single car space.
It can hold up to 200 kg, has a horizontal outreach of 4.5 m, and can rotate nearly 360 degrees for additional flexibility for complex tasks. Hydraulic controls provide high levels of accuracy and precision in movement.
The trailer-mounted boom lift comes in electric, petrol, diesel and hybrid models, with total weights starting from 1,200 kg, allowing it to be towed by a mid-size sedan.
"The Comet X-Trailer's compact dimensions and intuitive controls make it ideal for sign writers, electricians, painters, glaziers, facility maintenance personnel and other workers that regularly operate at height," says Andrew Macdonald, access equipment manager, United Forklift and Access Solutions.
The Comet X-Trailer comes with an optional self-drive system, which allows easy on-site manoeuvring of the trailer. A single operator can use the controls to drive the trailer smoothly up to a vehicle and position it ready for towing. This feature enhances safety by eliminating the need to manually push and position the trailer.
