Mobile heavy-duty vehicle lift supplier Somerstotalkare will showcase the Forklifter System at the NEC Birmingham in March.

According to James Radford, sales and marketing director of the West Midlands-based company, the system is "the ultimate solution" for lifting trucks, for both maintenance and major component replacement.

The company claims the Forklifter, which has a 4 T capacity and is suitable for three- and four-wheeled trucks, is the safest way to access the underside of forklifts for service and repair.

"It can save firms responsible for the upkeep of forklifts time and money as it can be operated quickly and safely by one person. This reduces downtime and enables other staff to get on with their work," Radford says.

He adds that one of the biggest benefits of the Forklifter is its mobility. "The system is easily manoeuvrable, allowing the user to move the Forklifter system around the workshop, into different working areas if required."

The Forklifter system is an added accessory to the company's existing mobile vehicle lifts, used by operators of trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles.

"We're looking forward to meeting up with many of our existing customers at IMHX as well as introducing the Somerstotalkare concept to the wider materials handling industry," Radford says.

Somerstotalkare has been supplying heavy-duty vehicle lifts to the UK market for over 30 years and has sold over 6,000 sets of mobile lifts.
