Walking the trade show floor at ProMat offers a wide range of approaches and technologies—some experimental, others developed with long-term operations in mind. At ProMat 2025, UgoWork presented operational solutions aimed at addressing the day-to-day challenges faced by today's fleet and operations managers.
Instead of pitching buzzwords or chasing trends, our presence centered on practical takeaways: How do you transition to lithium-ion and really maximize all the benefits? What does a truly reliable energy partner look like? What should operations managers demand from battery providers as electrification ramps up?
This article walks you through the highlights of our time at ProMat—what we showed, what we heard from attendees, and where things are headed next. For a deeper dive, be sure to check out our full post-show blog recap on the UgoWork blog.
Straight talk at the UgoWork seminar
Monday morning kicked off with our seminar: "Lithium-Ion Battery Showdown: Features, Safety, and Value for Your Money." The room was at full capacity, with every seat taken and no standing permitted due to fire safety regulations—an early indication of strong interest from attendees with professionals looking for substance over sales talk.
Key points from the seminar
Not all lithium-ion batteries are the same. We walked through key differences in design, build quality, and performance. Safety certifications, durability, and smart features like cloud-connected diagnostics aren’t optional anymore—they’re expectations.
Right battery, right job. We broke down how different warehouse profiles (multi-shift, cold storage, etc.) require different energy solutions. It’s not about the most powerful battery—it’s about the right fit.
Total cost of ownership wins. Upfront savings can vanish quickly when service is unreliable. We emphasized the value of choosing a battery partner who sticks around after the sale.
For those who missed it, the full session is available as an on-demand webinar.
A seat at the table: electrification panel insights
Later in the week, UgoWork joined a panel discussion on "Path to Electrification: From Talk to Action." Moderated by Chris Watson (ICF International), the conversation included Damon Hosmer (Toyota Material Handling) and Michael Galyen (Concentric).
It was an open and practical session focused less on the "why" of electrification and more on the "how."
What the panel agreed on:
- Electrification is now a strategic priority, not just a sustainability checkbox.
- Data is central to making smarter decisions—whether it's understanding load profiles or scheduling charge cycles.
- Partnerships matter. It's not just about choosing a battery. It's about choosing a team that helps you manage change, minimize risk, and maximize uptime.
UgoWork’s role in this discussion emphasized how our integrated platform—batteries, training, analytics, and ongoing support—makes the electrification journey more predictable and productive.
From booth to floor: UgoWork in action
Our live demos pulled in steady crowds throughout the week. Visitors could see how UgoWork lithium-ion batteries integrate seamlessly with trusted OEMs like Toyota and Hyster-Yale.
The message was simple: these aren’t simply generic lift truck batteries that fit into existing systems without adjustments. They’re engineered, tested, and certified for real-world use. Booth visitors could even go under the hood and interact with a battery through a virtual reality experience–a great way to witness the engineering rigour and elegant design of the UgoWork architecture. And we don’t stop at the battery, our full line-up of products are:
Behind the booth: exclusive interview with UgoWork’s Marketing Director
We also recorded a one-on-one interview with UgoWork’s Marketing Director on-site. Shown on the big screen during the event, it offers a behind-the-scenes look at how UgoWork approaches electrification differently.

It’s not just about the product. It’s about showing up for customers every step of the way. You can watch the full interview now on the MHI website.
What we heard: key trends from the floor
ProMat is always a good place to gauge the mood of the industry. Here’s what kept coming up in conversations:
- Electrification is accelerating but confusion remains about the right steps and the true costs.
- Visibility and data are becoming non-negotiable. Fleet managers want real-time insights to make smarter energy decisions.
- Flexible consumption models through Energy as a Service (EaaS) are gaining ground, as companies prefer predictable monthly costs over large capital expenditures.
- Sustainability goals are evolving from vision statements to operational strategies—and ROI is part of the conversation now.
The real question: why UgoWork?
Because it works. Because it lasts. Because when something goes wrong at 2 am, our support team answers the call.
At UgoWork, we focus on the big picture:
- Battery performance that lasts: UL-listed, OEM-certified lithium-ion solutions.
- Support that doesn’t disappear: From initial training to long-term service.
- Tools that give operators control: Real-time insights and alerts through UgoPilot.
- A partner you don’t have to chase: We’re proactive, not reactive.
If you're considering the switch to lithium-ion or want more from your current system, we’re here to talk.

Final thoughts
ProMat 2025 proved that electrification is no longer a question of "if," but "how soon?" UgoWork showed that we’re ready to help answer that question with clarity, commitment, and complete solutions.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, attended the sessions, and shared insights with our team. The conversation continues—and we’ll see you at MODEX 2026.
