Terex Gottwald has delivered a Model 2 rubber-tyred harbour crane to Kramer Group in Rotterdam.

Kramer chose a G HRK 2304 variant which, according to the manufacturer, offers the mobility of a conventional mobile harbour crane with the advantages of a portal version.

The machine has a maximum lifting capacity of 80 T, a radius of up to 40 m, maximum hoist speed of 85 m/min, a clearance width of 9.5 m and a clearance height of 6 m.

The Model 2 cranes, which are available as mobile harbour cranes, portal harbour cranes and floating cranes, are specifically designed for river and maritime ports with narrow quays.

The Kramer Group hopes to use the crane for fast handling of full and empty containers on feeder vessels and river barges.
A
ndré Kramer, president and CEO of Kramer Group, is happy with "the cost-effectiveness of the diesel-electric drive system and the rubber-tyred portal with clearance, which makes our terminal operation particularly flexible".

Kramer was also impressed by the short delivery time and fast commissioning of the machine, which was "tailored precisely to our requirements".

The Dutch Kramer Group is a family-owned company, established more than 40 years ago by Marcel Kramer, Sr.

It has grown from a small container repair operation and is now active in virtually all segments of the container service industry.

Since 2007, the Kramer Group has operated its own state-of-the-art Rotterdam Container Terminal.
